Our Alapahas are quite frankly the best in the world, no brag, just pure and simple fact! If you want a dog that is laid back and docile in the home, that is nurturing and “maternal” with children, but a dog that is fiercely protective when called upon, then come to WKA for your Alapaha puppy. We are one of the last kennels in the world that are dedicated to preserving the original true-to-type Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog temperament. You can see our testimonials to see this is not a brag. We stand by the health and temperament of all the Alapahas we breed. We offer probably the most comprehensive Breeder/Client Agreement out there. If at any point in your WKA bred Alapahas life you feel that the dog does not suit you, we will replace the puppy/dog free of charge. to date we have not once had to honor this condition which says a lot about our dogs and breeding program.
I (John Whyte) am accredited for my intimate knowledge of the breed standards, being one of only 5 people (worldwide) qualified to judge this breed in competitive and professional arenas. My wife and I are the key contributors to the compilation of the original breed stud file used by the IABBR. Today we are best known for being the first Alapaha breeder in Europe, selling foundation brood bitches and stud dogs to all of the UK’s first foundation breeders. When you study pedigree’s today our dogs can be found back as far as 10 generations. But we can be best recognized for our long standing breed experienced and for pioneering the establishment of the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog in countries, such as France, Germany, Norway, Denmark and Hungary. We are the founders of the breeds most reputable authority body and have judged shows internationally and nationally. Today we are recognized as one of the last remaining experts on the origin of the breed and it’s genealogical documentation and act as breeding mentors for many of the up coming kennels looking to better the breed across the globe. We are the only breeder in the world that have sent frozen and chilled semen from our stud dogs back to America – Home of the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog.
We occasionally have Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog puppies for sale but only breed for the preservation and betterment of the Alapaha and to maintain a high level excellence in our breeding program. We only breed from proven working stock Alapahas that make excellent fire side family companions. A well bred Alapaha shows a natural defensive nature from a very young age sometimes as young as 8 weeks old. Our Alapahas excel in working field events such as high level personal protection, high level obedience and pretty much anything you can throw at them.
